Artist Performance Style

Singer/songwriter and performer Tom Storm delivers folk influenced music with a vocal style reminiscent to the sounds of John Denver and Gordon Lightfoot. Drawing from personal experiences and the rich past of his hometown area, his original music offers a unique, engaging and introspective lens into the world.

His live shows are a combination of original work, classic singer/songwriter work and audience requests. A typical evening taps into a wide range of musical genres leading to entertaining covers spanning from the 1960s to today. The set list expands with each show and each request!

About the Artist

​

Growing up in the farm and woodlands of the Northeast, Tom spent his youth wandering around his share of wooded glades and haymows, finding lessons in kinship with the echoes of spirits past and present. Inside his childhood home familiar sounds the likes of John Denver, the Statler Brothers, and Willie Nelson scented the air.  Outside he found identity in the sounds and dappled shade of trees as they bowed their branches low over the creek as he traced it toward the source.  Its simultaneous chattering and murmuring conversations across a stone-filled bed provided the soundtrack that guided him into adulthood.  

 

Those soundtracks of his youth still have the power to capture a memory or deliver him to one.  

 

Each day he uses these memories as a touchstone, reminding himself that during the moments we must walk a road we do not choose, we can take with us a road we remember.  

 

When he is not playing music for himself or the masses, Tom can be found in his woodshop, floating on the water, photographing friends and clients, or spending time with his wife and their beautiful doghter Tallulah Jane.
